Do you need both quotes now?
Not always. If the tree is still standing, you can ask the tree crew to include the stump. If it is already down, only the stump needs a quote.
Why the stump gets skipped
A stump left at knee height is a trip hazard and a mower snag. Ask about the stump when the tree is priced, so it does not become a second project months later.
